La Isla de los Pescadores, está situada en el extremo meridional de la isla del Spree, la Fischerinsel constituye el corazón histórico de Cölln, la primera ciudad que se fundó a orillas del Spree. Berlín se fundaría justo en frente, en lo que hoy es el barrio de San Nicolás.
