El pechiazul es una pequeña especie de ave paseriforme de la familia Muscicapidae. Muy escondidizo, el pechiazul es muy dado a caminar por el suelo, sobre todo las hembras. Es insectívoro. El macho presenta un característico colorido azul en el pecho.
