Faro de San Jorge, situado en en Comodoro Rivadavia, Provincia del Chubut
Con un área de 3.625 km² y ubicada inmediatamente al sur del gran Golfo San Matías, esta curiosa península presenta dos amplias escotaduras originadas en hundimientos tectónicos: al norte el Golfo San José y, al sur, el Golfo Nuevo y al este una menor, alargada, la Caleta Valdés separada del Mar Argentino por una estrecha y prolongada restinga.
