Los kōkako son dos especies de aves del bosque del género Callaeas que son endémicas de Nueva Zelanda, el kōkako de la Isla Norte en peligro de extinción y el kōkako de la Isla Sur presuntamente extinto. Ambos son de color gris pizarra con barbas y tienen máscaras negras.
