Stefan Drzewiecki (1844-1934), fue un científico, periodista, ingeniero, constructor e inventor polaco, conocido por diseñar y construir el primer submarino del mundo, estuvo trabajando en Francia y el Imperio Ruso. Construyó el primer submarino del mundo con propulsión eléctrica a batería.
