Georg Telemann (1681-1767), fue un compositor barroco alemán, aunque su obra también tuvo características de principios del clasicismo. Está considerado el compositor más prolífico de la historia de la música. Autodidacta en música, estudió leyes en la Universidad de Leipzig.
