El cisne negro (Cygnus atratus) es una especie de ave anseriforme de la familia Anatidae endémica de Australia. Fue descubierto en 1697, a principios del siglo XVIII, los colonos ingleses que volvieron de Australia trajeron consigo, en sus barcos, un cargamento de cisnes negros.
