Charles Richard Drew (1904-1950), fue un cirujano e investigador médico estadounidense. Investigó en el campo de las transfusiones de sangre, desarrolló técnicas mejoradas para el almacenamiento de sangre y aplicó su conocimiento experto para desarrollar bancos de sangre a gran escala a principios de la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
