El Teniente Antonio Menéndez Peláez (1902-1937), a los mandos de su avión Lockheed Sírius 8A especial, bautizado con el nombre de 4 de Septiembre. Este vuelo realizado a principios del año 1936, entre las ciudades de Camagüey (Cuba) y Sevilla, es históricamente conocido con el nombre de Vuelo respuesta debido a que Menéndez realizó su aventura en agradecimiento a los grandes vuelos trasatlánticos que nuestros pilotos realizaron a Cuba con anterioridad.
